After graduating from UC Berkeley in 1998, Lauren began selling and licensing photography for Kodak’s Image Bank in Santa Monica, CA. This is where her love of photography began. She then took all of the available UCLA Extension Photography Courses and met her long term teacher Bobbi Lane there. She continued on in Bobbi’s Master Class in her downtown LA artist loft. For the next 4 years Lauren worked as a photographer, photo assistant, photo rental studio manager, art gallery manager and artist representative, while continuing to study photography in night courses at The Art Center in Pasadena, CA. After 6 months of traveling through Central America shooting travel photography, Lauren was accepted full time to the Art Center’s photography program on scholarship. After 1 semester, Lauren dropped out, having been told that she was too advanced already for the program.
Lauren continued shooting weddings and portraits, fashion and commercial photography in LA until she moved to Mammoth Lakes in 2005. In Mammoth, she continues to photograph weddings and architectural photography, along with shooting personal work in landscape photography. She lives with her husband and step-daughter.
